Ford - 2.0 litre petrol Zetec engine - which oil ?. We have just acquired a Ford with 2.0lt Zetec engine. It was bought privately and as the oil level was slightly low, I topped it up with Ford Spec. Posted June 1, 2016. OK, I had some work done to the car about 6-8 weeks ago, under warranty, as I had just bought the car used. The work carried out was to do with the inlet cam actuator, but it also had a solenoid and cambelt replacement. My ford manual indicates my 1.6 Zetec SE engine requires oil spec ESD-M2C 186-A (2.3 litres of the stuff), whereas the Haynes manual suggests I use WSD-M2C 200-C (which the ford manual says its for 2.0 Zetect-E, 1.8 Endura and 2.0 Duratec engines).
